Children with disability in Morocco are being provided with wheelchairs thanks to two Australian organisations, Red Goes Faster and Wheelchairs for Kids.

Red Goes Faster, co-founded by Michelle Hank in 2015, has sent over 1,140 wheelchairs to Morocco since its inception. “We approach schools in regional Morocco and teach them how to make ramps for the kids to be able to go to school.”

Perth-based Wheelchairs for Kids builds and flatpacks the wheelchairs, before delivering them to Morocco, accompanied by an OT who teach local volunteers how to assemble the wheelchairs properly for each child’s needs.
